Trainers from Ireland have totally dominated the Champion Bumper since the first race in 1992. This isn't surprising considering the history that surrounds the bumpers in Ireland compared to their less warm acceptance in the UK.

Considering that only three British trainers have ever managed to win the race, you may well be safer putting your stake on an Irish horse!
