Albert Bartlett Novices Hurdle

This race was previously known as the Brit Insurance Novices Hurdle. It was introduced to the Cheltenham Festival in 2005 as a three mile hurlde for novices.

All of the previous winners have had at least three runs over hurdles

All of the previous five winners had won over 2 miles and 5 furlongs or further

All of the previous winners have had a top two finish in a Graded Hurdle in their last time out

All of the previous winners were in the first five in the betting

Four of the five previous winners had run previously over three miles

Four out of the five previous winners were aged between six or seven

Although the race is only 5 years old it has produced some stunning jumpers including Wichita Lineman, Gone to Lunch, Siegemaster and Over the Creek.
